Sustainable Home Food Production
There has been an increase in the number of people interested in growing their own produce. Fortunately, with Florida’s warm climate it’s possible to grow vegetables almost year-round.
Although many homeowners enjoy wildlife in their yards, there are situations where wildlife can become a nuisance, or even a danger. The first step toward putting a stop to any issues: identifying the animal.
Of course, many gardeners want (certain) wildlife to visit their garden. In that case, it helps to provide three essential elements: food sources, fresh water and safe cover, preferably provided by native plants.
Gardening Solutions has many articles on gardening with wildlife and other UF/IFAS sources offer an even wider range of animal information.
