Salt-Tolerant Lawngrasses
In Florida, living near the ocean has its pleasures, but it can be tough on your lawn.
There are several types of turfgrass that are salt tolerant, but the best choices for homeowners are St. Augustinegrass and zoysia. While they can’t be irrigated with saltwater, they can handle some salt spray.
While seashore paspalum has excellent salt tolerance, it requires such a high level of maintenance that it’s not recommended for home lawns.
