Tomatillos are related to tomatoes, and look like smaller versions, only encased in a papery husk. Most commonly known as the main ingrediant in salsa verde, tomatillos turn from green to yellow when fully ripe, but are usually eaten while still green. They have a tart, yet sweet, flavor. You can grow tomatillos in your own garden; just plant and raise them as you would tomatoes.
