St. Lucie County Declares Master Gardener Week

During the September 6th regular meeting, the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners issued a proclamation declaring the week of September 5th as Master Gardener Week, honoring 137 active UF/IFAS Master Gardener volunteers that serve local residents.

Master Gardener volunteers are trained volunteers that assist homeowners in the community using research-based horticulture information. In 2015, St. Lucie Master Gardener volunteers donated 20,996 hours of volunteer time and educated 40,650 members of the community—the equivalent of 12 full-time employees.
