Bird's Nest Fern (Asplenium nidus)

Like all true ferns, bird's nest does not produce a flower or fruit, but instead reproduces from spores found on the underside of its leaves. Simple, large, glossy, apple-green leaves have undulate margins, a black, prominent midrib and unfurl from a rosette center, giving the effect of baby birds in a nest. The plant habit is round—up to 2-4 feet tall and wide.
