Friend or Foe? Friend: Dragonflies
Dragonflies have been around for more than 300 million years. Their favorite foods include mosquitoes and flies, so their presence is a good sign! Dragonflies do not sting or bite people. They spend much of their lives as nymphs in water and therefore tend to live near ponds, rivers, and wetlands. Dragonfly nymphs eat mosquito larvae and other insects. Having a garden pond will attract them, and using few or no pesticides will ensure they stick around. More
