Arugula
Easy to grow in the home garden, arugula is salad green known for its dark green leaves with a spicy, peppery taste. It's planted starting in fall and continuing through winter. Be sure to harvest the leaves very young and tender, as mature arugula will start producing flowers, which makes the leaves too bitter for eating.
