Pruning Perennials
Many perennials are dormant in winter, which makes it a perfect time to prune. Take a good look at your plant before pruning, though. Different types of plants have specific pruning requirements. You should remove dead or diseased branches on woody perennials, while ornamental grasses can be cut down to the ground so they'll grow full and fresh in the spring.
