Lloyd Singleton is an extension agent with UF/IFAS Extension in Sumter County, specializing in Florida-Friendly Landscaping™, sustainable landscape maintenance methods, green industries best management practices (GI-BMPs), and water quality and conservation.

Singleton teaches and promotes Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ principles with an emphasis on protecting natural resources to both landscape industry workers and county residents. He is certified to instruct the Green Industry Best Management Practices and is a senior trainer for the program. He is also authorized by Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to provide pesticide training and licensing for the horticulture and agriculture industry. Community outreach includes vocational horticulture education and culinary arts to inmates of the local Federal Correctional Complex - Coleman, as well as youth activities, LakeWatch monitoring supervision, and other efforts in support of protecting natural resources.

Singleton received a bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri, and is currently pursuing his masters in Agroecology from the University of Florida.
