Certified volunteers extend UF\/IFAS Extension\u2019s reach by sharing this knowledge within their communities, helping to conserve natural resources and improve quality of life. In 2025, the program achieved significant statewide impact \u2013 volunteer engagement increased, resulting in more service hours, higher full-time employee equivalency, greater monetary value of volunteer contributions, and expanded participation in continuing education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There are 3,556 Master Gardener Volunteers in 58 of Florida\u2019s 67 counties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are 490 new Master Gardener Volunteers (MGVs). New Master Gardener Volunteers are trained in the counties where they will serve.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In 2025, Florida Master Gardener Volunteers donated $12.5 million worth of time to the citizens of Florida. Current estimations place the value of a Florida volunteer at $33 an hour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master Gardener Volunteers served 274,210 clientele through plant clinics, events and community gardens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>41,354 hours of education were provided to volunteers in 2025. Each Master Gardener Volunteer received a minimum of 10 hours of continued education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>377,473 hours of time were volunteered in 2025. Active Master Gardener Volunteers donated an average of 100 or more hours each.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The hours donated by MGVs would equal the work of 181 full-time employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interested?
