It may have a carpet-like or an upright growth habit. Stems are considered brittle. The leaves are glossy green,\u00a0<em>opposite<\/em>,\u00a0<em>simple<\/em>,\u00a0<em>elliptic<\/em>, and range from two to four inches long.
