The fronds are\u00a0<em>compound<\/em>, spirally arranged, and may be up to two and one-half feet long.\u00a0<em>Leaflets<\/em>\u00a0are\u00a0<em>pinnately-compound<\/em>,\u00a0<em>ovate<\/em>\u00a0to\u00a0<em>elliptic<\/em>, to five inches long, and wavy. They are very glossy with a leathery texture, waxy on the surface and lighter colored beneath.
