The dark green or variegated leaves are produced in abundance along the rapidly growing but rarely branching stems. The mature leaves are\u00a0<em>simple<\/em>,\u00a0<em>alternate<\/em>,\u00a0<em>lobed<\/em>\u00a0and two to four inches in length. Juvenile leaves do not have\u00a0<em>lobes<\/em>. White flowers in round clusters appear in the fall.
