Leek (Allium ampeloprasum, Porrum)

The plant is very similar to a large green onion. Leaves are smooth and flat and are arranged in a fan-like fashion spreading in 2 directions. The white leaf base is the edible portion. Unlike garlic, there is very little bulb development. Seeds are black and onion-like.
