Fennel, Common Fennel, (Foeniculum vulgare)

Fennel is an herb grown for its shoots, leaves, and seeds which give foods a licorice-like flavor. The plant resembles dill, with narrow, feathery leaves, bright yellowish green hollow stems, and umbrella-like seed structures. The flowers are yellow umbels.
