Thryallis (Galphimia gracilis)
Sometimes referred to as golden shower, this evergreen, erect shrub can grow to about 8 feet but is usually pruned to a shorter size. The small, simple, opposite leaves are elliptic in shape and are lighter green beneath. Yellow, 2/3 inch, star-shaped flowers are held on terminal 4-inch racemes.
