Caladium (Caladium bicolor)

A caladium is an herbaceous perennial which grows from a tuber. The colorful leaves, which are simple, entire, and ovate to lanceolate shaped, may be up to 14 inches long. Petioles are longer than the leaf blades. Caladiums show a variety of variegated colors: red, rose, white, green, and pink. The flower is an inconspicuous spadix and spathe.
