Blueberry (Vaccinium spp.)

Blueberries are small, round or oblate, blue to bluish-black at maturity, usually with a waxy bloom and remains of the calyx at the blossom end. Seeds are few and very small. Leaves are small, alternateovate, with short petiolesentire margins, and usually a waxy surface giving them a light green appearance. The flower is white and bell shaped, produced in clusters. The plant is usually a relatively small, multi-trunked shrub. Blueberries grow in north and central Florida.
