Japanese Privet (Ligustrum japonicum)

An upright, low branching, evergreen shrub or small tree. Simpleentire leaves are opposite and ovate to elliptic in shape: they are dark green, leathery and glossy. Branches have raised lenticels. Fragrant flowers are borne on terminal panicles and are white, with four united petals. The fruit is a blue-black, drupe-like berry.
