Taking Gardening in a New Direction

Gardening Solutions offers in-depth advice and information based on University of Florida research. It’s our goal to bring Florida homeowners and gardeners the best information about Florida-Friendly plants, sustainable landscape practices, and ways to beautify your yard and garden—all through UF/IFAS Gardening Solutions.


Standards and Policy

Gardening Solutions, as an official university website, abides by the university’s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for campus computing resources which dictates the responsibilities of UF Web developers. This site is built using accepted Web standards: tableless HTML5, CSS3, and the Document Object Model (DOM). It meets all guidelines set forth by the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and conforms to all standards in Section 508 (29 U.S.C. ‘ 794d) of the Rehabilitation Act.

Use of this Site

The Gardening Solutions website is an access point to the University of Florida information technology environment; hence by virtue of using it, users agree to abide by the highest standards of responsibility to their colleagues and agree to comply with all applicable University and State University System policies, and with applicable state and federal laws concerning appropriate use of information technology. Non-compliance is a serious breach of university standards which may result in disciplinary and/or legal action.
