Kohlrabi (Brassica oleracea, Gongylodes group)
The leaves, which are similar to collards (but smaller), rise from turnip-like enlargements of the stem just above ground level. This swollen stem is light green or purple in color. Seeds are cabbage-like. Both the leaves and bulbs are edible.
