Kale (Brassica oleracea, Acephala group)
Kale grows as a rosette and does not form a head. The leaves are the same general size as collards, but with very frilled margins. Color is deep green and texture is very coarse and crisp. Some ornamental varieties show colorful combinations of red, white, and green. Seeds are cabbage-like.
