It's Not Easy Being Green(ery)

Pantone's 2017 Color of the Year is Greenery, 15-0343, a light green with a hint of yellow

Pantone LLC is an authority on color and their Pantone Color Institute is well-known for its annual Color of the Year selection, which has been made each year since 2000.

The choice is made by looking around the world to determine what color influences best define the global zeitgeist. The Color of the Year for 2017 is particularly familiar to gardeners: Greenery.

Described by Pantone as “a refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings.” Pantone also describes Greenery as “nature’s neutral,” a description that will come as no surprise to gardeners.

While flowers get a lot of press and attention, greenery can really shine in the garden and is an equally important part of any landscape.

Greenery is the backdrop that your makes your flowers pop. Greenery provides interest to your landscape while the flowers are not in bloom. Greenery comes in an array of shades and goes with any color you could imagine.
