St. Lucie Master Gardener Class of 2018

By Kate O'Neill, UF/IFAS St. Lucie County Education Outreach Coordinator, Master Gardener Program

It was a great group of enthusiastic volunteers that kept me and Kate Rotindo on our toes over the last 12 weeks! We had a full class of 25 students and they were all just great! Many of them started volunteering from day one and look like they will be a very active group.

April is National Volunteer Month, when we celebrate the work that volunteers do year-round. Volunteer Month recognizes and promotes the spirit of service, and raises awareness about how volunteering changes lives and strengthens communities.
