About the Master Gardener Program
Tom Wichman, Statewide Master Gardener Program Coordinator
Tom has been with the University of Florida for fifteen years. He spent six years as Orange County Master Gardener Extension Agent and has spent the last nine years as Florida’s State Master Gardener Coordinator. In this role, he coordinates 4,000 volunteers and serves as a resource for many on plant and landscape issues. Tom obtained his BS from UF in Environmental Horticulture.
Tom is an affiliated faculty member of the Center for Landscape Conservation and Ecology, as well as the voice for the radio show "Gardening in a Minute."
