Exercise Benefits of Gardening

It's a well-accepted fact that regular physical activity reduces your risk of premature death, heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, adult-onset diabetes, osteoporosis, stroke, depression, and colon cancer. But what you might not know is that gardening and yard work are considered great excercise, and also provide stress reduction and relaxation. Why walk mindlessly on a treadmill, when you could have beautiful flowers, or even delicious fruits and vegetables?
