Carnivorous Plants
Kids are often fascinated by carnivorous plants since the plants have an appetite for insects. This interesting behavior is actually an adaptation that allows them to thrive in less-than-ideal settings. The insects that the plants digest provide necessary nutrients that aren't available in the soil. If you give them the right care, you can even grown carnivorous plants at home!
