Dill

Dill is an aromatic herb grown in Florida home gardens for both its leaves and seeds. It's best planted by seed, September through December (although you can plant it in spring as well). The variety that does best in Florida is 'Long Island Mammoth.' Dill has uses beyond the culinary; it's also the host plant of the Black Swallowtail butterfly.
