FYN Welcomes Esen Momol
Esen Momol is the latest addition to the UF/IFAS Environmental Horticulture faculty, joining as the Statewide Coordinator for the Florida Yards & Neighborhoods program.
She started her new position June 27, and jumped right in to provide support to the FYN programs throughout the state, working alongside FYN and UF/IFAS staff, as well as with county Extension programs and water management districts.
Dr. Momol completed her graduate work here at UF in the Department of Plant Pathology, and spent seven years working for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
Esen, her husband Tim, daughter Laura, and son-in-law Matt are all longtime Gators. The Momols survived among the Seminoles in Tallahassee for ten years before returning to Gainesville!
