Tom Wichman
Executive Producer and The Voice
Tom has been with the University of Florida for thirteen years. He spent six years as Orange County Master Gardener Extension Agent and has spent the last seven years as Florida’s State Master Gardener Coordinator. In this role, he coordinates 4,000 volunteers and serves as a resource for many on plant and landscape issues. Tom obtained his BS from UF in Environmental Horticulture.
Tom’s role with Gardening in a Minute is to review horticulture content and provide leadership for the team. He also serves as the show's voice.
Emily Eubanks
Education & Media Coordinator
Emily has been with the Center for Landscape Conservation and Ecology since May 2006. She previously worked in training development in UF’s College of Pharmacy and for Publix Super Markets. Emily has her BS and MS in Agricultural Communications from UF. Emily is working to get the show syndicated throughout the state.
Sarah Graddy
Sr. Information Specialist
Sarah has been writing the broadcast content for Gardening in a Minute since July 2006, and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the radio program. She also develops marketing materials, Web content, and other communication tools promoting Florida-friendly landscaping practices for the Center for Landscape Conservation and Ecology, the radio program, and the Environmental Horticulture Department. She’s a fellow in the Florida Natural Resources Leadership Institute Class VII.
In her free time, Sarah helps put on film events with FLEX and coordinates communications for the Friends of Alachua County Forever campaign. She has a BA in English from the University of Florida and a master’s in public art studies from the University of Southern California. Sarah’s graduate thesis explored art as a means to enhance communities, mitigate environmental problems, and improve public spaces.
Jennifer McIntyre
Web Coordinator
Joining the Center for Landscape Conservation and Ecology in the summer of 2007, Jennifer is the newest member of the Gardening in a Minute team . She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from Florida State University, and has several years experience working in Web design/production for higher education.
Jennifer manages the Gardening in a Minute Web site, as well as upcoming sites for both the Center and the Master Gardener program.
Kim Taylor
Environmental Horticulture Writer
Kim joined the Center for Landscape Conservation and Ecology in March 2006 and has been with the University of Florida for ten years. She holds a master’s degree in science/health communication from UF and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Smith College.
Kim fields the "Ask the Expert" questions and develops additional Web content and features for the Gardening in a Minute site.
Ben Wilson
WUFT Producer and Jazz Director
Ben has been working with Gardening in a Minute since March 2006. He has worked in radio for nine years, both in Gainesville and Las Vegas. Ben has a BS in broadcasting and an MA in mass communications from UF.
Ben records and produces all shows and is our liaison with the radio world.
