GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Dr. Hayk Khachatryan and Dr. Alicia Rihn received an award for best paper in the innovation category at the 26th Annual International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) World Conference and 12th Wageningen International Conference on Chain and Network Management (WICANEM).
In the paper, "Consumers' Response to Organic Production and Origin Promotions on Ornamental and Edible Plants," Khachatryan and Rihn describe how they used analysis and eye tracking technology to assess consumers' visual attention to organic production and origin promotions labeled on indoor foliage and food-producing plants.
The global summit was held in Aarhus, Denmark on June 19-23, 2016. The hosts were the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA), IFAMA Europe, WICANEM, and Danish Food Cluster. Leaders from business and science converge to find new ways to ensure sufficient, safe, and nutritious food for the growing world population.
